Union Station Makeover

Los Angeles is famous around the world for its lifestyle and culture, and also its real estate. Like most large, urban centers, the city offers public transportation through its Metro stations. The Metro has released its finalized plans for the dramatic makeover of the Union Station, located near the new location of the Patsaouras Transit Plaza. The plans were designed and developed to make dramatic and enormous changes to the station, while still preserving the beautiful and historic nature of the Union Station, which Los Angeles residents and visitors have come to know and love.

There will be several changes, including replacing one existing parking lot with a pedestrian friendly plaza, but there are many other changes in the works that will eventually deliver a world class transit facility to Los Angeles. These include an entirely new layout, a new and elaborate main concourse and terminal, a repurposed old ticket room, and the Fred Harvey restaurant.
