New building Set to Open Early this Year in DTLA!

The new building replacing Wilshire Grand is a wonderful new edition to the DTLA skyline.  I enjoy looking at this building from the freeway and I see Downtown LA’s growing magnificent skyline. It is a 73 story building at the northwest corner of 7th and Figueroa streets.  The spire was attached in September.  The building is set to open in the first half of the year.  It will have 400,000 sq. ft. of office space and retail space.  Intercontinental Hotel will be there with 900 hotel rooms.  The structure was developed by Korean developer Hanjin.  This is another great game changer in our wonderful city DTLA.

Los Angeles State Historic Park in Downtown LA Opens this Month!

One of my favorite places to run in Downtown LA is set to reopen this month after a couple years of construction and renovation.  The 32 acre park on the edge of Chinatown is almost finished.

Features of the new park:

  • Rolling landscape surrounds a central meadow
  • Visitor’s Center
  • A Lookout Point
  • Promenade
  • Bathrooms
  • Paved Parking Lot

There will be events with music and activities.  We are starting 2017 off with a great new attraction for Downtown LA and its very exciting!
