The Higgins Building Lofts has many authentic loft features such as polished concrete floors, original tile, exposed brick and ductwork and the original cage elevators. This landmark building was created in 1910 by copper tycoon Thomas Higgins and designed in the Beaux-Arts style by Architects Arthur L. Haley and A.C. Martin. AEG, which is the owner of LA Live where the JW Marriot is located, is seeking the support from the LA City Council for the new building. The JW Marriot would then be the second largest hotel in California after the Hilton San Francisco in Union Square, which has 1,908 rooms.
